SPECIAL FRIENDS PLACE

Unlike most other bloggers, I seek to keep Edge and Odds open, free and without any advertising.

However, I subscribe to many services to optimize content and the cost of many of these, often those among the better ones, have increased significantly with the aging bull.

My annual out-of-pocket expenses directly for the blog total nearly $5,000. Average annual donations are currently running a little below $2,000, leaving me some $3,000 short annually. The year 2021 will be my 13th year. The math and its trend are not great.

Needless to say, I really cherish donators, large or small. Not only do they clearly express their appreciation for the blog and the work behind it, but they also generously support it financially for everybody’s benefit.

All donations are reinvested in research. Helping the blog actually helps you.

It is thus natural, and very important to me and to all readers for that matter, to try to find ways to thank donators with special exclusive features.

I first created the Edge and Odds Library where I give access to some special research. This is available to every donator, large or small, occasional or regular.

There is also the new Inside Insiders section. This section is for “Significant Donators”, those who meaningfully financially contribute to the blog.

Perhaps some of you will find it financially helpful and rewarding. I personally regularly monitor insiders’ actions to identify potential investment or divestment ideas.

Because of the diversity of my readers, I have decided not to set a specific amount to qualify as a “Significant Donator”. I personally decide who qualifies, based on actual contributions, their regularity and other subjective factors.

I hope to never offend anybody but, for the blog’s sake, I need to specially acknowledge the meaningful contributors to the blog’s financials.

By their action, they help me but, crucially and generously, they also help every other reader.
